Comment Please
It was pointed out to me today that my comments weren’t allowing people to comment on my blog posts. (Thanks Mark from 45n5.com.) I have been wondering for the past 3 months why I haven’t been getting any comments, not even from spam. Nothing in my moderation section on wordpress, and nothing to my email to notify me. Nothing.
Mark was then nice enough to email me to say that he got a thank you for commenting response but the comment never showed up. I checked my “Awaiting Moderation” section and there were no comments awaiting moderation either. I then started to dig through the discussion options section and noticed that I had checked a box marker “Blacklist comments from open and insecure proxies” a while back, it’s way at the bottom, when I was trying to combat all the comment spam that I was getting.
I then asked Mark to kindly give it another try, which he was nice enough to do, and it worked! Not sure if the blacklist comment option was what did it but it sure was good to see a comment show up.
This brings me to asking those of you who read this post to please try and leave a comment, even if it says hey. I am trying to get this fixed but my IP is linked to the administrator and my comments always show up. So I ask you, fellow bloggers, and net surfers alike. Can you leave a comment and if nothing shows up in a few hours to email me at evossman@gmail.com?

It works! Thank you all for helping me check to make sure my comments work.
The problem is fixed, I do get spam again but I’ll gladly deal with it to allow my comments to work.
Sorry to anyone who has tried to leave a comment and hasn’t gotten anything to show up, especially after I disabled the nofollow tag.
Hope it didn’t discourage anyone from leaving comments.

I also tried to leave a comment to one of your golf postings a few months ago and notice it never posted. I’m glad comments are activated again as I think it will turn your site into more of a community! Good luck with all your goals.
