Announcing my Blog Network
Sound the trumpets, I’m finally practicing what I preach and just going for it.
I have been working on my own little blog network space on the web for about 2 months now. I guess you could say that I have had somewhat of a network for a while now, with this blog Aloha Update and Sprint Rants. Those are still going strong but too them I have added 6 more blogs on various topics from sports to Hollywood. None of the topics are groundbreaking, just interests of mine to get the network jump started.
I will post a little bit about each of them here over the next week or so but want to give all of my regular visitors a chance to check out each of them before I do all that writing. Feel free to subscribe to feeds, let me know what you think, and spread the word if you feel someone would be interested in or benefit from any of the writing.
And the blogs are…
Blogging on Empty - helpful hints on how to blog like a pro on little time
Getting to Scratch - tips for golfers chasing the dream, as well as golf news and a general resource
Wicked Backhand - who doesn’t want a gorgeous backhand, a tennis resource for players and enthusiasts
Financing Wealth - financial tips and motivation to realize your financial dreams and find the wealth you’ve been looking for
Rumor Patrol - chasing down all of Hollywood’s rumors from several sources online
Fueling the World - a resource for alternative energy news, follow the changing laws, technology, and breakthroughs
I hope you find some of them enjoyable. If you feel like you would be able to contribute some good articles to one or more of these feel free to contact me about writing for them as guest bloggers. Guest blogging is a great way to promote yourself outside of your own blog world. I have found that it’s like free (well you have to write) promotion to a whole new audience that you didn’t work at trying to attract. Let me know if that interests you.
One last thing, I don’t really have a name for the network, I couldn’t come up with anything catchy like B5media or weblogs inc so erik’s blog network will be where it stays until I, or someone like you (hint hint) comes up with a better name. ![]()

Carlos-
Thanks for the suggestion, I actually have the sharebuilder affiliate links but was procrastinating putting them in. I tend to do too much and usually unable to keep track of all the affiliate links. I probably could monetize better but I am working on my system and the system needs to be more efficient.
I’ll look to put them in soon. Thanks again

Thanks for the encouragment Mark as well as pointing out the need for the .com’s. Probably hard for some people to visit the sites without them, and a pain to retype.
Aloha,
Erik

Woohoo! Congrats buddy. I don’t know how you make all that time, it’s truly astounding. Can you teach me?
Best of luck, you know I’m here when you need a word of encouragement.

[...] May marked the 4th consecutive month with increased AdSense earnings. In April I saw $9.61 and made a large (in my world) jump to $14.90. The month of may started out great with earnings of $1 a day for the first week and a half and then nothing for about 2 weeks. The last half of the month pulled me over the $10 mark no doubt thanks to starting my blog network. [...]

[...] My current blogging goals are set quite high. 500,000 visitors a month, I’m not even close. 12 blogs 12 months, getting closer, I have 9 blogs in my network but working on getting content up on all of them and writers for some of them is a full time job in itself. Lofty goals yes, but attainable within the year time frame I have given myself. [...]

[...] The blog network I started is going great. I’ve continued to write on all blogs and a few of them have been picked up by some pretty good resources in postings and link exchanges. I am talking to a programmer right now who I may bring on as a part-time associate for several of the website ideas I have but I hope to get one here in town that will do the same. [...]

[...] Having a blog network that I will admit to posting ads on in the hopes to earn money from my blogging efforts I too spend a little time tinkering with ad placement. I am not into re-inventing the wheel so you may notice the layout of my blog network looks a lot like those networks already available. I try new things every once in a while but haven’t tried out any full on experimentation with ad size and placement. [...]

On your financial site I saw you talking about some trading sites but did not see any affil links. Surely those companies have affil programs?
